Climate change is the most pressing issue of our times.

And we all can do something about it. After working in tech for ten years, I grew dissatisfied with the lack of urgency about the climate crisis. Here are some of the ways I am taking action.

Bellevue College
Office of Sustainability

Sustainability is in full force at Bellevue College. As the Outreach Coordinator, I organized events to engage with students and spark conversations around waste reduction, decarbonization, and sustainable living.

  • Coordinated Earth Month 2025 event series

  • Advocated for Carbon Labeling on campus food service menus

  • Introduced the college’s first soap refill station, now a recurring offering

Soapbox Project

The world’s most joyful climate community

Standing in solidarity together and forming community is what’s needed to solve big problems. What happens when a weekly plant-based dinner with strangers meets climate anxiety? Soapbox is a place to make friends, learn, and take action on climate change and sustainability. I’m delighted to be a volunteer and active participant in building this nonprofit.

NOT FOR SALE

Some friends and I co-hosted an anti-fashion show. Rather than engender a sense of lack and longing, Not For Sale emphasizes the value and history of the clothing you already own. We invited a group of local fashionistas to dress their best with what’s in their closet, and tell the story of those pieces.
